Additional Protection

Need a little extra protection for your business? Consider these add-ons.

General & Professional Liability Aggregate

The most your policy will pay for multiple losses during a 12 -month policy period.

General Liability Insurance is designed to protect your business from lawsuits filed by people not employed by your business (clients, vendors, etc.) for claims of bodily injury and property damage due to negligence. An example of this would be a slip and fall on your premises.

Professional Liability insurance provides coverage for wrongful acts (including breach of duty, neglect, error, omission, misstatement or a misleading statement) that occur as a result of your professional instruction. This includes economic or financial losses suffered by third parties as a result of the wrongful act.  An example of this would be if you programmed a workout and were accused of poor advice/instruction which led to an injury.

General & Professional Liability Each Occurrence

The maximum the insurance carrier will pay for any single bodily injury or property damage claim.

General & Professional Each Occurrence

The maximum amount your policy will pay in a 12-month period for bodily injury and property damage claims that result from the products you use to perform your services.  However, it does not cover products that are sold or distributed.

Damage to Premises Rented to You

This is coverage for property damage to a premise the insured rents or has permission to use under the scope of their normal operations. Includes fire damage coverage only for premises rented for fewer than 7 days and coverage for damage from all other perils resulting from the insured's work for premises rented for more than 7 days.

Medical Expenses

Coverage that reimburses others, regardless of negligence, for medical or funeral expenses incurred by the injured party for bodily injury or death sustained by accidents under the conditions specified in the policy. This does not apply to the named insured or their employees.

Personal & Advertising Injury

The amount that your policy will pay for claims arising out of one or more of the following offenses:

  • False Arrest, detention or imprisonment
  • Malicious prosecution
  • Wrongful Eviction or Wrongful Entry
  • Oral or written publications that slander or libels a person or organization
  • Oral or written publication or material that violates a person's right of privacy
  • The use of another's advertising idea in your advertisement

Defense Costs

Defense Costs coverage is included in your General & Professional liability insurance coverage limits. Defense Costs refers to all the costs of defending against a lawsuit. These expenses include the cost of hiring a lawyer, court fees, investigations, gathering facts, filing legal paperwork, and other related costs.
This is often the most important aspect of protecting you if you are being held liable for bodily injury or property damage resulting from your services.

If you have employees, please select the Employer level coverage and add on your employees.

Cyber Liability

Cyber liability protection may cover a business for a data breach in which the business customers' personal information, such as social security or credit card numbers, address, phone number, or any other personally identifiable information, is exposed or stolen by a hacker or other criminal who has gained access to the business electronic network.

  • $100,000 TIV is the sum of $50,000 BPP and $50,000 BI/EE
  • Over $100,001 in TIV allows custom allocation for BPP & BI/EE however services covered are limited.

Acronym Key:

TIV (Total Insurable Value)

BPP (Business Personal Property)

BI/EE (Business Interruption & Extra Expense)

Business Personal Property (BPP)

Business Personal Property (commonly called BPP) means the movable items owned by your business (such as equipment, computers, supplies, furniture, etc.). The property could be located in your home office, office building, gym, studio or other location you work from.

BPP also includes property of others in your "care, custody, and control," which basically means their property is in your possession.

Common causes of loss include but are not limited to theft, fire, water damage, vandalism, and hail.

*$10,000 BPP is included free however if you need higher coverage you can purchase that during the application process.

Business Interruption & Extra Expense (BI/EE)

Business Interruption & Extra Expense insurance (commonly called BI/EE) provides coverage when your business shuts down temporarily due to a covered loss (e.g., theft, fire, water damage, vandalism, and hail). This helps replace your income and covered expenses like rent, payroll and other financial responsibilities during times when your business is not able to operate.

We recommend choosing a coverage limit that would cover 3 months of your business income and expenses.

*$10,000 BI/EE is included free however if you need higher coverage you can purchase that during the application process.

The amount you pay before this plan begins to pay-out for a covered claim.

Business Personal Property Deductible:

  • Under $250,000 BPP: Deductible = $500
  • Over $250,000 BPP: Deductible = $1,000

Business Income Deductible:  72 hour waiting period. (This benefit begins 72 hours after the loss occurs.)

*A deductible only applies to the Accident coverage and Business Personal Property coverage, not the Liability coverage.
